Innovative jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke lived in Sunnyside, Queens until his untimely passing. We open our festival with music from this legend, who inspired many after him to come to the brass!
This event will include Swing and Charleston dance lessons led by Jenny Sowden, creator of Brooklyn Swings.
BIXOLOGY is a project created and led by the Assistant Musical Director of the HONK Family Band, Skyler Hagner.
