We are so grateful for your past support of HONK NYC, which brings the tradition of global street band music and spectacle to audiences everywhere — in parks, at clubs, in schools, and especially out in the streets.
We are asking for your support once again as we get ready for our 12th annual festival, which takes place October 9-14, 2018.
HONK NYC continues to grow each year. Our 2018 festival caps off an amazing summer, during which we activated spaces and provided kids’ programming across the NY metropolitan region!
June 21: HONK NYC presents Summer Ascension for Make Music NY at Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park, with TM Street Band, Plezi RaRa, and L Train Brass Band
July 8: SummerFest 2018 with Nevermind Orchestra and Zlatne Uste, curated by HONK NYC at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ
July 14: Music at Rocket Park with HONK NYC, featuring crafts workshops and music by AntiMatter Horns, Stefan Zeniuk, and Mariachi Real de Mexico at New York Hall of Science, Queens
July 20: Summer Concerts at the Maplewood Gazebo, Maplewood, NJ, with Plezi RaRa, co-presented by HONK NYC
July 28 – August 3: HONK NYC’s 2nd annual HONK Kids’ Camp at the Staten Island Children’s Museum
August 4: Hungry March Band at NYC DOT’s Summer Streets, curated by HONK NYC
August 11: L Train Brass Band at NYC DOT’s Summer Streets, curated by HONK NYC
August 17: Summer Concerts at the Maplewood Gazebo, Maplewood, NJ, with Zlatne Uste, co-presented by HONK NYC
August 18: Paprika at NYC DOT’s Summer Streets, curated by HONK NYC
September 22 and 23, we return to the World Maker Faire for our fourth annual installation, presenting kids’ craft workshops and marching band takeovers of the Maker Spaces!
October 28, we’re participating at the New York Hall of Science’s Dead or Alive event.
And of course, our flagship festival, HONK NYC, October 9 – 13, 2018.
